This milestone marks a new era for the company as it strengthens its mission to become the Nordic connectivity platform of choice, enabling high-capacity data flows between data centres and critical digital infrastructure across Northern Europe.
The new identity reflects the company’s evolution into a dedicated Nordic platform, specifically designed to meet the structural demand for high-capacity connectivity driven by AI and the expanding data centre landscape.
Jointly owned by HitecVision and Lyse, Midgard Infra is well positioned to capture this growth and serve as the essential digital infrastructure for the region.
A Modern Reflection of Ancient Connections
The name Midgard Infra is inspired by Norse mythology, where Midgard represents the realm where all dimensions converge and humans dwell. At the heart of this world stands Yggdrasil, the world tree that binds the universe together.

Lyse, one of Norway’s leading energy and telecommunications groups, contributes the fibre network assets and operational expertise that form the backbone of the platform. HitecVision is a leading energy-focused private equity firm with a proven track record of building and scaling companies across the energy and digital infrastructure value chain. Through a buy-and-build strategy, Lyse and HitecVision will invest in building new fibre routes and consolidate a fragmented Nordic carrier market to establish a purpose-built, leading Northern European connectivity provider.
Operational Continuity for Partners
While the visual identity—including a new logo inspired by Yggdrasil’s branches and a distinct colour palette—is entirely new, the company’s core remains unchanged. Customers will continue to work with the same dedicated teams and receive the same high level of service.
The launch of the updated website (www.midgardinfra.no) and the formal adoption of the Midgard Infra name are effective immediately.
