Midgard Infra today announced the appointment of Chris Kelly as Vice President (VP) of Neoclouds. Kelly brings two decades of telecom and infrastructure sales experience serving the global hyperscale and cloud community, and will lead Midgard Infra’s commercial expansion with hyperscale and neocloud customers across the Americas.
Kelly joins Midgard Infra from Ciena Corporation, where he served as Americas Partner Executive, Global Cloud Networks. Earlier in his career, Kelly served as Director of Wholesale at Hibernia Atlantic, where he managed the Hyperscale/Content vertical.
Based in the Bay Area, California, Kelly will focus on Midgard Infra’s subsea and terrestrial dark fibre, Managed Optical Fibre Network (MOFN), and wavelength services, working with hyperscale and neocloud customers across the Americas as they look to Norway for data centre expansion.
Strengthening Ties with Hyperscalers in the Americas
Svein Arild Ims, CEO of Midgard Infra, emphasised the strategic importance of the appointment as the company continues to accelerate its international growth.
